Why work with us
A new channel deserves careful hands
Sourced
Facts, not folklore
Every claim about how ChatGPT Ads work comes from OpenAI’s own documentation, with the date we last checked it.
Measured
Tracking comes first
Conversion tracking is set up and tested before any budget goes live, so the test gives you a real answer.
Honest
Straight about fit
If your category, market or budget isn’t ready for ChatGPT Ads, you’ll hear it from us before you spend anything.
Yours
You own the account
The ad account, the data and the history stay in your business’s name. We work inside it with the access you give us.
Before you spend
Where ChatGPT Ads fit, and where they don’t yet
Usually a good fit
- Products and services people research and compare in conversation before they buy
- Online stores that can supply a product feed for product ads
- Local and home-service businesses in markets where ads are live
- Teams that can track conversions on their own website
Not a fit yet
- Categories OpenAI’s ad policy disallows, including gambling, alcohol and tobacco, recreational drugs, adult content and political ads
- Audiences who mostly use paid ChatGPT plans, which never show ads
- Budgets that can’t fund a real test: US campaigns start at $25 a day, and a fair test runs for weeks
Financial, health and legal services face extra eligibility rules that vary by market. We check yours before you spend anything.
How we work
A test you can judge, then a decision
Step 1 · Week 0
Fit check
We check your category against OpenAI’s ad policy, your markets against where ads are live, and your budget against what a fair test needs. If it isn’t a fit, we say so.
Step 2 · Week 1
Launch and tracking
You create the ad account and invite us, as OpenAI requires. We set up and test conversion tracking, then build campaigns, context hints and creative.
Step 3 · Weeks 2–5
30-day test
A fixed budget, success metrics and stop rules, agreed in writing before anything goes live.
Step 4 · Week 6
Scale or stop
You get the numbers, reconciled with your own analytics, and a clear recommendation: scale, reshape or stop.
Pricing
What it costs
We quote our fees for your account after a strategy call, and they’re separate from ad spend. You pay OpenAI directly for media, and the ad account stays in your name, so you keep the data and history if we ever part ways.

Questions
What people ask us first
What does a ChatGPT Ads agency do?
We plan, launch and run your campaigns in OpenAI’s Ads Manager: tracking setup, campaign structure, context hints, creative, bids, budgets and reporting. Your business owns the ad account; we work inside it with the access you give us.
Do ChatGPT ads change ChatGPT’s answers?
No. OpenAI says ads appear below the response, are labeled as sponsored and run on separate systems, and that advertisers can’t shape, rank or change ChatGPT’s answers. Source: OpenAI Help Center.
How much do ChatGPT ads cost?
Prices come from an auction, so they vary. In the US the minimum daily budget is $25 per campaign, and OpenAI suggests starting cost-per-click bids at $3–5. Reports of $60 CPMs and $200,000 minimums described the early pilot, not today’s self-serve platform.
Who will see my ads?
People using ChatGPT’s Free and Go plans in the more than 60 countries where ads are live. Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu accounts don’t see ads, and neither do accounts identified as under 18. Ads also stay away from conversations about personal health, mental health and politics.
Can our agency set up the ad account for us?
No. OpenAI doesn’t let agencies create advertiser accounts on a client’s behalf, so your business creates and verifies its own account and then invites us. It also means you keep the account, the data and the history if you ever change agencies.
Is my business allowed to advertise?
Most are. OpenAI’s ad policy disallows some categories outright, such as gambling, alcohol and tobacco, recreational drugs, adult content and political ads, and sets extra rules for financial, health and legal services that vary by market. The policy tracker lists the current rules.
Will running ads help us appear in ChatGPT’s answers?
No. Paid placements and ChatGPT’s answers come from separate systems. Being mentioned or cited in answers is a different discipline, often called generative engine optimization (GEO).
Are you an official OpenAI partner?
No. OpenAI names dentsu, Havas Media, Omnicom Media, Publicis Groupe and WPP among its agency partners, and as of September 2026 it hasn’t published a certification program for other agencies. We work in the same Ads Manager every advertiser uses, and we’re not affiliated with OpenAI.
